Restructuring of a research center and creation of a technology park

Situation

• A large pharmaceutical company decided to shut down one of its R&D sites and transform it into a technology park dedicated to life sciences.
• The company asked for external help to provide both strategic and operational support in the re-industrialization of the site

Bionest Contribution

• Throughout a 2-year project, Bionest was instrumental in:

1. Supporting spin-off launches
2. Operationally launching scientific services for tenants
3. Evaluating other companies willing to settle in the techno-park
   

Key Results

• Successful launch of 4 spin-offs in the 2004-2005 period
• The park has now attracted over 15 companies, 10 of which have been evaluated by Bionest
• Successful launch of a NMR and MS scientific platform, used by the majority of tenants
